Operation Slayer |Day175| Arma 3 Event 28th November 2020 2000 HRS -GMT Max Players (19) Small Operation - at max 2 Hours Long Server name: VETERANS-GAMING | DEV | TS3.VETERANS-GAMING.COM Address: 5.9.23.136:2302 Required game version: 2.0.0 BRIEF : After the success of the covert mission, NATO command decided to bring more troops and reclaim Chernarus from the hands of the R.E.D (Russian elite division). The first stage of the invasion was a success, but soon a stalemate set. Radovan "Slayer" Kiril, the head of the R.E.D, is now the key to ending the war on Chernarus. The newly formed CDF (Chernarus defence forces) joined NATO troops and soon command will decide to start an attack on the last defenses of the R.E.D . Objectives : The 2 squads will split and and cover these objectives: - The main objective is to capture all marked key zones and if "Slayer`s" location is compromised, kill him. Campaign will be over if "Slayer" is found and killed! - Secure as much intel as possible on the Head of R.E.D . (Recon tasks, Securing documents and hacking devices). - Killing HVT. - Demo targets such as AA emplacements, train, helicopters, radar stations, vehicles... - Defend against QRFs. - Some other may show! (RECON TASKS ARE RANDOM, they are not like in the img bellow) Assets : 1 --> Bell UH-1Y Venom (on carrier); 1--> A10 thunderbolt 2 (on carrier); 1 --> M3 Bradley; 2 --> HMMWV with 50. ; 2 --> ATVs; 2 --> respawn trucks (1 respawns, the other one will not make sure you take care of them); 1--> abrams tank (after capturing a city, doesn`t respawn, can be manned only by Apc squad or commander+1) 5--> artillery calls (5 rounds each, after capturing a city, to use place marker called "arty 1,2,3,4 or 5 R (R= rounds) He/Smoke"); infinite--> healing (can be called after a firefight if people are badly wounded/ missing FAKs) 2 special vehicles--> if the PorniCorn is found (search area will be marked)! Rules : 1. Infantry is not allowed to Rambo. This is a coop mission, not PR! 2. Follow the commands given by HQ! 3. DO NOT KILL CIVILIANS! Mission will be a failure if you kill even a single civilian! 4. You only have 2 h to capture some cities/ search for "Slayer". If you can`t manage to capture all, the next event will continue from where you left. 5. Minimize collateral damage. CAS make sure you destroy just vehicles, not houses! 6.   9. Lovely Sem. I might want it for my next Op/ Campaign. I am currently using Drongo`s pop for spawning tasks and some random bots since is easier to just click and drop some modules, but it sucks because it lags my pc.
  10. @X0RThat one right there is GOLD in my book . I am all the way in for ZEUS versus players. I like to play also persistent campaigns just from time to time, but they can sometimes turn into a boring thing and... well it kind of loses my interest. But the best is night time operations. I love when missions start either at dawn or at night. I also like scenery... damn if a map has 0 beauty or hasn`t got any nice spots to spawn some units... then that map is dull. Perfect example for me is a map that has war torn places, beautiful landscape, poor villages, eastern EU old factories etc...

  13. I would like to know if you guys have any preference/something that you like when playing a mission in Arma III What do you want incorporated in a mission? (objectives, weapons, armies, vehicles, game modes, etc..) What maps from CUP/ Standard Arma/other you like? Would you like a campaign? (extended over multiple weekends) Anything else that makes an Arma mission to your liking?
  14. My city. I would totally want to visit my brother, I haven`t seen him for almost 2 and a half years. Next year if Covid is no more I`ll try and visit him; he lives in Hamburg. Also I want to visit Lowkey when possible. We don`t live too far from each other. ALSO YES, Pripyat. I am a big fan of Stalker!

  17. Yep, but its difficult to pilot a helo cuz of arma physics. Too harsh on the controls and you ll crash it. All in all the arma piloting is ok-ish depending on how much time you spend flying/ learning.
  18. Why not remove BMR INS. Its kind of boring, plus Lib Altis is more fun! We can then replace the BMR with domination.
  19. Don`t worry I am a very open person to discussions, just wanted to let you know most of the time admins might not want to do their job as they should. And yeah, there should be a way we can transmit these rules more often ingame instead of just sending the players to the sand pit. This is where the warning comes in. Warn-kick-Ban, but in some situations we can decide just to kick or ban if something goes too wrong. Anyways its all good! Prost!
  20. I am not sure if I am in a position unveil things and stuff that is only for admins and admins alone. The thing I can say is that the rules are enforced only by those that want to enforce them or feel able to do so. We often find in situations each day that tire us both mentally and physically and we might not want to enforce rules that day, but then when we find the ingame round is going south and we take action. Thing is that some are ... let me put it in a nice manner, sort of... a bit frustrated and react bad to some situations, but you as a player must know how to react as well not to turn this whole into a drama. All in all its about the admins choice, we always say that. You can`t just force one to do his job always, we are all here to enjoy the game sometimes. If you say that someone is making their own rules or enforcing the rules wrong/ abuse the rules or even like you said do that arbitrarily and lacking sense, you can always send a message to m823us, Semler, Melon, Acro, Kav they always helped me out understand why things are like they are.
  21. There are many reason why I dont like 100% this idea, but I cant focus on all. Two of the most important are the lack of transport because someone is bad at driving/fly or got killed instantly by the bots (rip "trans" by ZSU 23-4 or ZPU) and also counter assets like tanks or IFVs, AAVs. Why force a guy to play all round only on foot and only use hat kits to counter the enemy assets? Most of the time this is the reason Coop server gets empty so fast. To balance this you can make the number of enemy assets directly proportional to the number of squads(2-3 tanks or even 4 for 2-3 squads ... bear in mind this is for no counter vehicles for human side) that will be present and you have to take into account that this squad number can vary. Or you can just reduce the size of the map so people are not forced to walk long distances, give the enemy team assets but not more than a tank or 3, but more can be overkill sometimes (same thing as before). Also many other methods can be added to the list, I m sure of this but you would still have at least a backup vehicle in case things take a turn. All I wrote before, is applied only for maps without respawnable assets. Its ok to have at least 1 or 2 cars to respawn, a logi, a heli- but not necessary if you already have a logi that respawns(or it can be quite the opposite), and if its a map with assets like tanks or apcs, have at least one tow HMMWV respawn after 10-15 min. You also have to make the map fun, not just balanced, so people enjoy it! Plans are good, problem is they always have a flaw, learnt this by making arma events... Things never work out the way you imagine it to be, improvise! (wink wink, we know Shahadah first coop version that came with a shit load of assets and almost no counter at the beginning of the round because not all players are so gud at the game and can use HAT) .
