  1. I was going to buy this but before I do I wanted to ask you guys what you thought. I'm looking for something to stream my desktop in HD but there is nothing. My second option is to stream via camcorder, but I don't have one that will work with my computer. Is there something better I can buy? It's basically to stream games that don't work with XFire. Here's the review: Design, System Requirements, and Video Quality The C910's main body measures 3.8 by 1.0 by 1.6 inches (HWD); the dual-hinged mount extends back a few inches more. The entire unit is made of black, glossy plastic. I had no trouble fitting it to the top of a 23-inch Asus desktop LCD; the hinge adapts to fit a thinner laptop lid as well. The stereo mics flank the Carl Zeiss glass lens, and are approximately three inches apart. That's actually enough for some semblance of stereo sound recording (more on that later). A five-foot USB cable is permanently attached, and the package also includes a foldout guide and a software CD. Finally, the C910 includes free codes for downloading Magix Video Easy and Magix Photo Manager 9, which aid in editing photos and videos. To get started, Logitech recommends a 2.8GHz, single-core Pentium 4 PC running Windows 7, Vista, and XP (SP2 or higher). For HD video recording or live chats, the company recommends a 2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip or faster, with 2GB of RAM and a free USB 2.0 port. You'll also need 1MB/sec upload speeds from your cable or DSL modem. I tested the C910 on a custom Intel Core i7-860 PC with 6GB of RAM and 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate Edition. As a rule, webcams don't exactly excel when it comes to high-quality images. Recorded videos usually look washed out compared with a proper digital camera or camcorder. Keeping that in mind, the C910's video quality looked pretty great in 1080p HD mode. Images were sharp and smoothly animated, and roughly equivalent to what you'd get from a second-generation Flip MinoHD ($229.99, ). Something to note: recorded images default to 720p (to change to 1080p, you need to go to Quick Capture > Video Recording mode, and then choose Controls > Resolution). Logitech's automatic light correction balanced out light sources well. Some very bright rooms looked a little pale and washed out, but it's the best quality I've seen from a webcam to date. I noticed some compression artifacts in recorded video. The effect isn't that visible in Logitech's bundled video app, which reduces the live video size. But the recorded files themselves were larger; when I played them in Windows Media Player, the compression was more obvious. Logitech confirmed that there's no way to turn the compression off, at least with the bundled software, although they company is looking into it for a future release. On the plus side, you can share videos almost instantly via Facebook or YouTube with a single click. Audio Quality, Other Features, and Conclusions The stereo mics exhibited fairly impressive frequency response in my tests. Voices sounded loud, warm, and clear. The built-in noise canceling circuitry filtered out the sound of a large fan in the background. You can also turn on a typical array of video effects, including animated alien heads, neon splashes, and optical distortions. When I tried some of these, I found it pretty easy to crash the program, at least on the Windows 7, Core i7 PC I tested the C910 on. For HD video chats, Logitech bundles its Vid HD software; it works in 720p, not 1080p, though. With Skype and other major IM programs, video chats drop back to 640 by 480 pixels when using the C910, though the impressive picture quality remains. (Note: Skype is working on certifying a few webcams for HD chat.) The C910 also takes 10-megapixel snapshots; test photos were sharp and detailed, but they lacked the color vibrancy and contrast you'd get from a dedicated digital camera with a larger lens. Most desktop and laptop PC owners will balk at dropping $100 on a webcam since you can get a desktop model for as little as $20 or $30 these days, and most new-model laptops have them built-in. But if you can spend the money, the C910 delivers full HD video that looks and sounds excellent; you get what you pay for here. Two lower-cost options: the $70 Logitech Webcam C600, is less expensive and also offers good video quality, although it's a bit more ungainly and can't record at 1080p resolution. Microsoft's LifeCam Cinema ($79.95, ) also delivers sharp video recordings, although its light balance isn't quite as good, and its built-in monophonic microphone lacks noise-canceling circuitry. Thanks guys.
  2. And why are you in the middle of a Foret Fire, maybe you should head for the hills!
  3. And you should have a members tag not supporter, lol.
  4. Create an album and post your pics in the Gallery. Only upload 3 at a time and you have resize options there. If you post here the images cannot be more than 800x600
  5. I think you did a great job Harry. Thanks for taking the time to share your opinion of the game. I haven't played this series much but I may check it out. Maybe CC could have some fun with it in the Mod realm. ;)
  6. Razer Naga MMO gaming mouse review I was looking for a new mouse to replace my Logitech G9x. It's a great mouse, but I want something with more buttons! This thing looks amazing! I've owned a Boomslang back-in-the-day and that Mouse was beez kneez. I love the design of this mouse, but what about leftys! Price: £49.99 Verdict: A gaming mouse of superb quality and innovative functionality: MMO gamers should seriously consider a Razer Naga upgrade. 9/10 Tech Specs: Buttons: 17 (includes 12-button grid), scroll wheel Laser dpi: 5600 Connectivity: USB OS Support: Any Windows/Mac OS (totalpcgaming.com review by Ben Biggs) For those who aren?t quite up to speed with the entire lexicon of MMO terms, imba is short for something that upsets the equilibrium of an MMO (an imbalance). In this case, Razer likes to think that the Naga gaming mouse puts the advantage, quite literally, in your hands. And with a little bit of training, you could be on your way there. The Razer Naga?s main feature is a 12-button grid, designed for the thumb of a right-handed gamer (sorry lefties). They?re designed primarily for accessing hot-key actions with far more expedience than you could hitting the numeric pad, though with a little imagination a number of functions could be mapped to the grid to make the Naga work for even twitchier games, like first-person shooters. The buttons look tiny, but hitting the one you want is surprisingly intuitive after a few minutes of fumbling. And if you?re still struggling after that, Razer has provided rubber training tabs that raise the profile of the button you?re having trouble hitting. It?s surprisingly functional, with two caveats: the two standard thumb buttons have been compromised by the grid, and there?s bespoke button-mapping software support only for WoW and Warhammer Online. But we?d prefer to map our own MMORPG commands anyway and with new drivers that allow full remapping and macro functionality on all 17 buttons, just a few minutes spent adapting this peripheral to our favourite MMO allowed us to sit back and control our avatar one handed, almost rendering our keyboard redundant. It?s a robust, compact and cleverly designed mouse with great support from Razor ? and should be considered a must-buy for any serious MMO gamer.
  7. Use XFire, but remap the keys in the settings. The way they are set as defaults won't work. What I've done is replaced the first key XFire uses, with my num lock key + whatever the second key is already by default. XFire default: Pause + S for Screenshots remapped: Num + S = Screenshot Or you can get Fraps, which I use as well...Awesome tool. Sorry for all the Algebra. :?
  8. Thanks man but I posted it from another site !a2
  9. It's been three and a half months since Nvidia released its first GF100 "Fermi" DirectX 11 video card, the high-end GeForce GTX 480, and its lower-priced, lower-power siblings, the GTX 470 and the GTX 465. The cards have been the top performers of their price ranges ($500, $350, and $270), but only just?AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5000 series have offered similar performance for similar prices, and have been on the market since early last fall. Nvidia's had a lot of catching up to do, with one of its primary deficits being the lack of a sub-$200 card for its lineup. With Nvidia's release of the GeForce GTX 460, that hole is now filled. Or at least partially. The 768MB GTX 460 is available for around $199, but if you want a 1GB version, you'll have to shell out about $229 instead. The card is aimed, in both price and performance at AMD's ATI Radeon HD 5830, which was released earlier this year, and also currently lists for about $199. One of the feathers in AMD's cap in this generation has been its wide variety, ranging from its highest-performance, double-GPU (and $700) 5970 at the upper end of the spectrum and the 5450 at the bottom. Now that it's offering a much fuller selection of cards, Nvidia would seem to be back in the game. But a lot depends on the GTX 460's price and performance, and how they stack up to AMD's formidable offerings.
  10. Game Review Basics 101 Step 1: Start with the details List the games technical requirements, including the operating system, amount of RAM, and graphics card speed, as well as the title and genre of the game. Step 2: Craft introduction Craft an enticing introduction by starting with a favorite moment from the game, a memory of playing it, or a theme that you enjoyed. Step 3: Summarize plot Summarize the plot of the game and give a basic overview of the main characters and the task you are expected to complete, but don't spoil the ending. Step 4: Relate playing details Relate some of the playing details, such as the excitement level, the playing controls, the graphics, the sound, and what it offers in the way of replay. Keep things hip and understand that your audience is people like you, just gamers who want to know the truth. Step 5: Be honest Be honest and relate to your readers that you are someone they can trust to deliver the truth about every PC game you write about. Livestream

Hey guys, If you go to our Livestream page you will see we are now streaming. If you would like to embed your XFire Broadcast Page to our Livestream page then send me the embed code from your page and I will post it up. When you are gaming simply activate your Broadcast and your in-game will stream on the page. I would like to have several embeds on the page so when people are viewing, they have several channels to choose from. What would be even more cool is if say we had 6 stream posted and all 6 were in the same Squad playing, that would be some cool video to watch, lots of views, etc... i know that won't happen without scheduling, but you see my vision now yes? Also, having more channels ensures someone is always gaming so there should always be something for others to watch, diff games, etc.. We gotta try! Send me your Embeds! 1. launch game 2. Activate Broadcast 3. Alt-Tab to your page and grab the embed 4. Send to Daddy Thanks.
