I played SQUAD yesterday. I made it to the squad selection screen before quitting. There were 8/9 locked squads. 2 one man heli squads (two helis available), one IFV/BRDM squad driving a T90, one one man BRDM squad locked conducting deep operations far away from any cap and some inf squads. I feel the playerbase needs more servers with a proven ruleset. I'd be down to read into the admin stuff. One thing that might bring us more popularity in the squad community right away would be to host workshop mods like the aussie mod. There are always people looking for servers but none stay up for long. If we would to fill that niche we could implement the PR legacy ruleset with a kind of good minded monopoly like we enjoy in PR COOP. If there will be more servers popping up we would still have a dedicated and fair server culture that has been popular in COOP for quite some time. <prophecy> Once @=VG= Melon Muncher learns UnrealEngine and creates a highly sophisticated machine learning AI for SQUAD, PR will die. Once that happens we are prepared for the first official SQUAD COOP VG Server. :) </prophecy>

Looking at prices for high quality HOTAS mounts, sticks, grips, throttles, pedals (ex), buttons, MFDs and so on I regret not taking the CNC route in Highschool. The simmer community will import products from China or Lithuania because apparently there is a huge gap between products from mass producing companies like logitech or thrustmaster and small shops like virpil or ch products.

Server currently is unreachable ingame. Doesn't show up in the server browser. Connect via IP just freezes the game. Troubleshooting I did: Restart server via tcadmin panel Stop, then start server via tcadmin panel Sacrificed a goat to the PR gods

+1 also the fact that this layer does feature a massive two big-box carrying behemoth of a chinook that can spam crates all around the map, with a 5 minutes respawn and 7 seats for infantry, putting the trans capabilites of the griffon into a minor role.

I just changed my key bindings to match PRs... I own squad and i would be down for a 24/7 server with the legacy PR ruleset. Currently it's hard to find a decent server with strict rules and active admins. Hopefully this will change in the future as soon as the mainstream gamers moved on and only the dedicated stick to it like in PR.

The problem I see is when you have this type of setup we would need admins on the other team as well. But even bigger, the maps aren't balanced for human opfor use. F.e. the Havok von Jabal would be instantly manned when it spawns. One would have to camp the helipad and get in the cockpit before it takes off...

I heard its shite Edit: I have to recall my statement after I played the open beta yesterday with meloni. Initially I was pleasantly surprised that the game only required a singe 30GB download. My expectations where quite high, I am talking GTA V levels of needed storage space here. After the mandatory installation of direct-X for the 32² time on my computer the game loaded directly into the first mission, aka the tutorial. Usually it only bothers me because I couldn't skip this tutorial becuase it's a mission and therefore triggers all subsequent tasks and features. But the issue I have was the game somehow thought it would put the graphical options on 4k ULTRA and the audio options on FULL VOLUME and resulting in the LOUDEST Power Point Presentation ever to be created by mankind. I dont know if there is a auto-detect funcion but if there is (and I hope so because it just throws you into the tutorial without the chance to change the options beforehand) it's high on drugs bought by Ubisofts microtransaction money. I am running a GTX970 with a 4k display and I had ~9 FPS until I reached the first objective. I know the game is in open beta and this issue I had is very minor but this is my first impression. Here's some more elaborative stuff: Vics handle like you are driving on soap. Basic physics coupled with scripted minor destruction to the environment (rails, bushes and such) Guns feel better than in Wildlands but still very airsofty. The Hub Cave thing is in the worst location to reach but well made Performance on LOW in BETA is worse than in Wildlands on LOW. (Unfair comparison and I need to upgrade lol) No more charming Bolivian music and NPCs. You are fighting super soldiers guarding wierd futuristic buildings and comically big lego-trucks (don't ask...) COOP Networkperformance was just like in wildlands with stuttering every few seconds (GER <-> AUS)

I am no product designer, but you have to be more specific. Are you talking CAD/CAM applications? 3D printable formats or similar? What is the product?

The only benefit golden connectors have is making your wallet lighter. @topic: As a thumb rule: Everything that connects your PC to anything is a potential security risk. USB, WiFi, Bluetooth, Serial Ports, S-ATA, Ethernet Port, ... All you can do is follow common sense and keep your drivers and anti virus up-to-date and keep an off site backup of docs and pics. Cryptolockers are nasty stuff...
