  1. Maybe try rejoining? Unless you were deliberately destroying BLUFOR players or assets, I'm sure you're not banned... You'd know... We have 2 Arma 3 servers, FYSA, best to be specific. But I think you just lagged out or the server crashed (should auto-restart) so again, try rejoining. Report back if any issues.
  2. v1.2 Update has been released for BMS 4.34.1 (U1) Falcon BMS 4.34 has just released Update 1, and with it has come some serious improvements and additional features. For this profile, and the in-game Radio Menus in general, all that has changed is an addition of a "Ready for Departure" call as the 7th choice on Page 6 of the ATC Radio Menu. I have added that command to the profile, but as it does conflict with the default "Ready for Departure" command, this Carrier specific command will need to be preceded by the word "Carrier" as a forced prefix word (see note in the large Command Reference pic). Example use: "This is Joker 7-1, Carrier Ready for Departure" I've also added a bit of polish to the Audio Feedback system, allowing it to recognize the word "feedback" as two words, "feed back", to help us avoid repeating ourselves to get the commands to fire, as well as a null check on the Stereo Audio Feedback output channel, so it can recover if this saved setting is lost. I've also updated the minimum version of VoiceAttack, so please be sure to update your VA program. We've tested this version, just minor additions, and everything seems great - but let me know if any issues pop up! Happy New Year! Patch Release v1.2 Changelog Dec2019 New Commands: -"Carrier Ready for Departure" : for ATC Page 6, new 7th item added for 4.34 (U1) update Fixes/Improvements: -Added additional recognition words for turning on/off Audio Feedback Mode - "feedback" can now be recognized as "feed back" -Added Null Check on Audio Feedback Stereo Output Channel setting, if saved setting lost, will force user input on profile load -Updated minimum VoiceAttack version to latest release (v1.8.3) for compatibility Download: (Click Here)
  3. Wow, that is good! Mastering the rockets is difficult, I can appreciate the skillz - well done (and great vid, too!)
  4. The VETERANS-GAMING 24/7 Public COOP Campaign Server is updated to 4.34.1 -- new player squadrons are available, Harriers out of Osan and USS Vinson, as well as F-16CM Block 52+ CFT now available out of Seosan. Plenty of the old available aircraft are still there, and if you see the 120th Squadron Patch, it is most likely a non-HQ fragged Squadron available for Players with plenty of aircraft available. We are running Rolling Fire at ACE Difficulty with all sliders favoring DPRK. We have grounded a few BLUFOR Strike packages (Warthogs and Hornets) to give OPFOR a fighting chance, and to allow more player interaction FTW. We are not running a custom weather model at this time, but this may change in the near future when we find or make one. Please feel free to provide feedback on difficulty, aircraft availability, and munitions, and we will gladly consider changes or updates to our master Campaign file. Thank you for flying at VG! Victory Conditions are as follows: ➢ RoK/US wins if Wonsan and P’yongyang are controlled in less than 30 campaign days. ➢ DPRK wins if Seoul and Pusan are controlled in less than 30 campaign days. ➢ If none of these conditions are met in 30 days then the outcome will be a peace treaty. ➢ If no major objective is captured in 20 days then the outcome will be a stalemate. 5. Not personally interested in hosting a PvP event, but no reason we can't try something. The only concern I have is that in 2017, PR was in a different version, and AFAIK, maps need to be updated for current version, and in the past, this meant re-doing the AI pathing / navmesh. If anyone knows more about this technical side of things, please post up. We can make this happen.
  6. So, this would be a post you should make in the Bugs / Tech Support of the PR Website. Don't be shy, they need reports like this. Might be a simple fix for one of them for the next patch, but if they're all running Win10 and aren't aware of the issue, how can it get fixed? I assure you, PR Devs and contributors like Alon, Mineral, etc. don't read posts on this website. Don't count on someone else to make a report (nothing wrong with a site search to avoid a double post, but still...) - you're a VG member and a PR admin who already helps keep this game alive, might as well take it to the next level, and report to the PR Devs. Let them know what's up and see what comes of it.

WOW! 10MHz CPU required to run this PC game.... SO FAST!
  8. +1 for Strike at Karkand - was my fav before I found PR Mod... PvP, waiting out the "arty" nade spam, then rushing the lines or attempting a flank... tons of fun! Would love to see how they work with Bots. If we could get some more eyes on this and test some stuff out to make sure it is indeed feasible to run as an event, we can make that happen! Love the idea of an Old School Maps event!! Good lookin, bro
  9. I would also like to get a mod server up and running for VG. We have been discussing that for a time behind the scenes. Some mods that I've always found useful: ShackTac HUD ShackTac Movement (or any modern movement mod that works and doesn't get the barrel hung up in stairwells, etc.) And I have never liked the faux-post-modern vehicles and weapons, and anything by Robert Hammer is great (RH), he's got entire weapons packs, vehicles, factions, you name it. Top notch mods. We don't need to go full ACE/ACRE, but it would be nice to have the ACRE option or to have some events with ACE/ACRE once we have a crowd used to the Arma style. Those used to be sweet! And now that it's super simple to join modded servers and get the mods, the hassle of ACRE from the past may be gone now. But ACE/ACRE for events, not everyday. I bring it up because it's the top of the milsim mods setup for some serious action. I'll let you all discuss the many game modes, there are just so damn many cool ones. And, yes, we can make a server that has controls for all of you regulars to stop/start/restart the server in the event you want to run a server that needs to be shut off when you guys are not playing it. The perks of being in VG. But I would prefer we chose a game mode that was a 24/7 setup, like have our 3rd Arma 3 server be the modded one and it's always available even to the public. Whatever we decide will be fine, if it doesn't work out, we can try something new. Doesn't cost anything but time and a bit of technical work sometimes.
  10. Been doing some extreme overclocking today with my new nVidia ASUS ROG STRIX RTX 2070 Super - for the last 14 hours or so.... :Alvarin_33:

I set a number of 1st place Overclocking records in 3DMark in my class:  i5-4690K / RTX 2070 Super -- including a 3rd place ranking in FireStrike against i5-4690K's OC's to the super extreme of 4.4-4.7GHZ!!  I can only get mine at 4.3GHz even without overclocking my RAM, so I run 4.3GHz on my CPU and OC RAM @ 2133MHz (4x4GB)

I was able to get stable at a GPU OC @ 2130MHz and VRAM OC @ 2000MHz (16GHz total across all 8x1GB GDDR6!)

It seems I won't hold all those first places for long, though, guys like Raymanauto77 could knock me out with CPU alone... lol. Cheers, Ray! Love your CPU!

I was super proud to place 43rd IN THE WORLD and 12th place in USA for Time Spy Extreme in the same class (i5-4690K) against ALL GRAPHICS CARDS and was also cool to place just inside the top 100 in the USA for a Port Royal and Time Spy (v1.1) each at 94th place.  Super fun to be able to swing around this card in it's extreme levels, took a ton of testing and work, will have to post up some pics in a blog post or something later.  The Turing GPU has some quirks and an overclocking guide with my experiences using this Super version card might be cool to have around.

For now, after a full day of this, it's time to call it a day.  Pics to come.  Fun fun!

@STRONTIUM_DOG Yea, my computer boots through two SSD's in RAID-0, and I have another 500GB SSD for programs and games.  Can't fit everything, though - the new Red Dead Redemption 2 is about 115GB installed.  Yea.  Fuck that.  It went on my 4TB HDD.  Load times suffer, but that is all.

Booting up with 2 SSD's in RAID-0 no parity needed : ) nice,,, so i guess the SSDs are now stable after 100000s of complaints and toothache ahaha

I took a brake form the SSD world after blanking out  once a week, you have inspired me for my next build.

i'm staying with the good old 500gb HDDs for the closet  storage, as there 10$ and spin up is faster TBs are like playing  Frisbee with a kid lol

As soon as i get back to civilization i will be onto you for a list of shit that don't burn  : )

  11. I just got a huge deal on a new graphics card through an offer from Chase Credit Card (spend $500 in 3 months, get $200 cash back delivered in 3-5 months) -- and they just sent me a referral (passes offer along to anyone in US with good credit, and doesn't already have the Chase Freedom card) - figured I'd pass the link along to you @ZZANG1847 since you're one state up from me: https://www.referyourchasecard.com/18a/99KLH2U3SP
  12. If the goal is to add another 2x8GB for a total 32GB of RAM for an entry level gaming PC, that would be overkill (even looking to the future), IMHO - also 3200MHz is a bit overkill and likely not achievable for this system regardless of overclocking... not that it isn't a great price, but for additional savings, you could go for a lower rated oc speed. Remember that the OS / BIOS isn't going to run that RAM faster than 1600-1866MHz unless you tell it to through BIOS overclocking, which would require testing, and when it comes to overclocking, doing it to the RAM vs focusing on the CPU OC is preferred with current tech. That being said, this MoBo would likely not be able to get that RAM to 3200 in my opinion ( I wouldn't bet on it, that's all I'm saying). You have 2x8GB listed for this 16GB setup (which is more than sufficient for any game this system will eat) but this should be 4x4GB for maximum utilization of the 16GB of dual channel RAM on any motherboard with 4 RAM slots.
  13. Looks like 1x8GB RAM... can't imagine Cyberpower would sell that, maybe it's just the image.... Should be 2x4GB, of course...
  14. To first get into a gaming PC, it helps to make that first purchase (that hopefully contains a roomy case). Later down the road, you can upgrade parts as you can afford them, like adding more RAM if needed, adding more storage space, etc. Can even overhaul the core by pulling the motherboard/RAM/CPU and CPU cooler, and buying something new in 5-7 years, without needing to replace the case/PSU/etc. Same with the GFX card. So, I'd say that the case in the Cyberpower one looks more in line with modern case designs, the PSU is in a covered trough below everything, and the front has a three fan intake looks like it could handle a 240-280mm liquid cooling radiator (someday). Looks like it could survive a few future upgrades, and comes with some good parts inside to begin with. Also, RGB like that should add at least 200 FPS in any game, of course. RGB FTW! (j/k) The case on the other one you linked looks like a cheap POS and cramps a lot of hot stuff too close for comfort IMHO - fine for a starter gaming PC, but not really good for future upgrades due to it's size. No filters, no top fan space, and of course, no RGB so how can you possibly hope to shoot straight in a game? Get into the game, worry about fancy things later. Also, plan to migrate your current HDD/SSD's for added storage and easy import of old files, etc. A case with plenty of space for SSD's or HDD's will make that possible. My 500GB SSD filled up SOOO fast with games. 4TB Seagate's are on sale for $80 right now, lots of sales through x-mas in storage. Go Seagate or Samsung, for the pro gear, price per performance, unless budget is most important. Good luck!
  15. I have restarted the Campaign to Day 1. The difficulty is set as follows:
  16. In Facebook, you asked if you'd need a PC to play these games, and for the record, this includes laptops that are able to play a game (had internal graphics card or something capable). Project Reality is based off Battlefield 2 from 2004, and runs well even on old machines, even before turning down in-game graphics settings, etc. It's an excellent entry level computer game, massive focus on teamwork and communication. It's a very social experience vs. the normal run-and-gun alone with lots of other online people who never talk to each other that is the norm in Battlefield or COD online games. Best wishes and good luck! Have fun!
  17. No worries, Binary! Thank you all so very much for your support!! In less than a week, we have reached our goal of $150 and it makes me proud to be part of such a helpful community! Special thanks to HaterOneActual and CptHawk for the particularly large donations!! Here's looking forward to a great new year!! Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends!
  18. I appreciate the kind words and help! Jersans, I know you bro, and I gotta say, please take care of yourself - your patronage is honorable, but if you are not exactly where you want to be at this time, your help in the server and your friendship is more than enough right now! I know there are some of us who are in a better position that others to help towards this goal, and for anyone else, just know that being here and being a friendly, helpful member of the community is plenty! Not everyone can help out monetarily, and that is okay, because there are more ways to help out that just this. We appreciate everything you guys do! Thanks! *To test the system, I just now donated $1 successfully - it is a PayPal system, requiring that anyone already has a PayPal account set up, and therefore will not be available to all regions as a result. It is a goal to add the ability for standard payments with credit cards, and we did achieve this goal on the last website, but things have changed, and this IPS system is a bit more complicated (if one doesn't want to throw money at some module with a monthly/yearly renewal fee). It's a goal, but for now, we are only able to work through PayPal. We appreciate your understanding, and your patience!
  19. Support your community! Due: November 30th 2019 Goal: $150 USD (Click Here to Donate) Hello everyone! Huge thanks to everyone for making VG such a fun place to hang out for so many people! We have an annual bill coming up for $150.00 (USD) and we are looking to the community to help us out! Normally, we do not push hard for donations, and along with BLuDKLoT, and SolarFlame, we are happy to help pay the various bills and I am personally happy to be in a position to afford the day-to-day (~$120/month). But we do need help from time to time with things such as this and other renewal bills that come up each year, and if anyone is able to help us out, please make a small donation if you can. Recently, we've been able to increase the stability of our Project Reality COOP Server with help from the community and R-Dev's, and thanks to SolarFlame, we now have a completely secure website, as well. Also, thanks to the return of our good friend Ciro, a former member of our Tech Team here at VG, we have enjoyed much help on the back end fixing, improving, cleaning, and repairing many items on our ongoing to-do list and we are extremely grateful to have so many helpful people on the team. Moving forward to 2020, we plan to add a Forgotten Hope 2 COOP Server for community events as well as daily gameplay and we'll be looking for volunteers to help Admin that server when able. Additionally, we are going to be happy to celebrate our 10 Year Anniversary in February, including a series of community events across many games a lot of us play - for those who don't we will share videos and live streams after and during the events. It is thanks to the longstanding support and patronage of all our regulars and friends that we have continued to thrive after all these years. I'm proud to help run a place that has led me to so many real life friends over the years. I hope others enjoy VG for the same reasons!
  20. I was also out on medical issues. I really wish I could have made it, I love these events! But my body said late Wednesday, "You know what would be more fun? Going to bed and waking up with the same neck pain and headache issues for four days straight!" So glad you got the technical issues sorted, and glad Ciro was there to help (thanks bro!!!). I've had a plan to get a bunch of you set up as Admins in Mumble, and had hoped to get it set up prior to the event at TEDF's request, but was unable to do so in time. Will have that working long before the next event, top of the list when I get feisty and frisky again. Huge thanks to TEDF for creating this event, and to the volunteers for helping out, and to all the players, too! Cheers!
